Available there for purchase. One of us or both will be there every weekend, either Saturday or Sunday at different times, to hand out samples for the next eight to ten weeks. Come on by and say "Hi" and taste some award winning BBQ sauce. It was a freezing day on December 7, 2013. Our BBQ Brethren group was asked to feed the troops at Camp Parks for their Christmas Party. There were about 275 troops with their families there to celebrate the holiday. We served pulled pork, tri-tip, marinated chicken breast, caesar salad, cole slaw, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, rolls and some beautiful desserts. We had a great group of BBQ Brethren volunteers that worked really hard to make everything a success. Everyone really enjoyed the food and we got lots of compliments. Can't wait until we can do this again. Very proud to be able to serve great BBQ to our troops that serve our country! We received a fabulous Thank You card from one of the families: "To the Crew - Thank you for the most amazing BBQ we've ever had. We searched all over Kansas for the best, who knew we'd find it in California! I could honestly taste the love you all put in your food from the pulled pork to the salad. You didn't cut any corners & I appreciate that (as a mom of 4 hungry kids) :) You made our Army Christmas party a huge success. Thank You!" We are definitely in the background but you can see the BBQ rig. Dave shows up periodically. Our "Spicy" BBQ Sauce has arrived! Now you have a choice, Original or Spicy. 12/11/12 We are in the process of putting together a Spicy version of our BBQ Sauce. Our labels have been finalized and are ready to print. We are checking with our co-packer to see when we can the sauce bottled. Soon to be available for purchase. We'll keep you updated. We just found out that we won 1st place at the USA BBQ Championship in Las Vegas this past weekend. There were 39 teams that competed in the BBQ sauce category. Thanks to our friends, Matt Brailey and Bram Britcher from 155 South Competition team who entered it for us to see where we stood. Looks like we have a winner. We should be ready to bottle it in just a few more weeks. We'll keep you posted. Was so much fun and we just love handing out the "Parent Treats" to the parents along with the candy to all the kids. Had a great turnout. We served Moink Balls (meatballs wrapped in bacon, BBQ rub, then BBQ sauce added after completing the cook), and Jalapeno Poppers (jalapenos, halved and filled with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, then wrapped in bacon). These were smoked for an hour and a half. Then David tried a new beef recipe that turned out great. The parents were very happy to receive their treats. Hope to do this again next year.
